Azamara White Night

I recently came back from a short break on Azamara Journey.
You can see from my previous blog that I had an amazing time and really loved being on a small ship for a change.
On most Azamara Cruises they will host their legendary white night. They do say all cruises of 5 nights or more but I am told they often do this on shorter cruises too so be prepared. I wasn’t expecting there to be one on our cruise so had to try and find something at the last minute.
Most passengers joined in with the theme and were either completely in white or wore something white.
We also got to meet the captain

It is informal anyway on Azamara and the party is out on deck ( weather permitting ) so smart jeans etc are ok.
The crew were amazing and spent the whole day transforming the deck. All furniture and table settings were white and the deck was decorated with white flags and balloons.
The entertainment was very good with the cruise director and band performing a wide variety of music from all decades and the dancers joining in and getting those that were willing up to dance. There was no pressure for those that preferred to watch.

They had a BBQ out on deck and there was a huge choice of food including grilled lobster and steak plus a stir fry section, cold meats and salads and the largest selection of French cheese that I have ever seen on a buffet.

There were lots of deserts and cakes to choose from but also freshly cooked Crepe Suzette which was delicious.

They always choose an evening when the ship is in port late so you have the lovely scenery but also so you aren;t going to be facing any bad weather or high winds.
It was a really great atmosphere and I can see why it proves so popular.
