P&O cancel their Winter Dubai sailings due to Gulf tensions

After the recent disruption to many Cuba based cruises I was hoping for nothing too similar to occur for a good while, unfortunately those hopes seem to have been short lived.

It was announced yesterday by P&O Cruises that they would be withdrawing their upcoming Dubai based Winter sailings due to continuing tensions in the Gulf.

The affected cruises are sailing from October 2019 to March 2020 on Oceana.

I should imagine that this decision wasn’t taken lightly by P&O. They are likely to make substantial losses due to this and there will also be lots of work needed to resolve things as lots of people will be affected.  Although this will be sad news for people who have existing plans and bookings the decision has been made with guest safety as the most important factor.

We will of course be contacting all of our clients who have existing bookings to let them know what options are available to them. Often people find out things like this through internet channels before hearing from their travel agents but with technology today news and information can just spread so quickly. We will certainly be doing the best we can to help our clients.
