Fred Olsen does it’s bit on Plastics

Fred Olsen Cruise lines have now said that they are going to do their bit to reduce single use plastic use on their fleet and help the environment.

They have said that they will eliminate use of plastic straws, cutlery, coffee cups, serving containers and laundry bags on it’s ocean ships. They also say that they will try to largely reduce the amount of cling film they use.

I think that it is a responsible move from Fred Olsen and hopefully all other cruise lines will follow suit.

Cruises are always going to have an impact on the environment as so much power is needed to run the ships to begin with but at least all positive measures help.
