Bruges, Here I Come!

It is almost time for my mini cruise to Bruges, as most of you may remember, I did do the very same cruise last October, but that was a work trip.  This trip will be myself and my wife, and my wife’s first ever cruise!  I’m nervous for a variety of reasons – A) Will she enjoy it, as she has never been on a cruise before and we have just booked our Marella 2020 Cruise for the Canaries so fingers crossed all goes well, and B) I’m worried the amount of money she will spend in Bruges, yes, you’ve guessed it, my wife is a chocoholic!

Any type of chocolate she loves! So I’m dreading taking her to the chocolate shops in Bruges, as they are absolutely amazing! Plus, this year, we will be there in time for the Christmas Markets, so really looking forward to seeing what I can bring back from Christmas presents this year.

We are doing this cruise as it is part of our anniversary present, we got married on the 20th November 2015 so it will be 3 years tomorrow since we got married (time certainly flies when you are having fun), so we always like to be away somewhere to celebrate, but due to certain circumstances (more to be revealed later) the plans had been put on hold until the beginning of December.

For our mini cruise though, we are sailing on the Oceana for 2 nights, so we get to spend the day in Bruges before sailing back to Southampton.  We are staying in an inside cabin, as even when we are on holiday, we tend not to spend much time in the room, we only use it for sleeping and getting ready to go out.  I can’t wait to show her what all the excitement is about, all the various restaurants and just the general feel of a cruise ship.

I can’t wait to tell you all about when we come back!
