My children’s reviews of their cruise on Independence of the Seas!

My family and I have just returned from a wonderful 6-night cruise on The Independence of the Seas!  I will write about it in more detail in a future blog and why this cruise ship is so amazing for families!  For this blog though my children wanted to tell you about what they loved about the ship and why this was one of their best holidays ever!

Isabella – Aged 10

‘I loved playing in the pools and using the water slides.  I learnt to swim better and do lots of tricks underwater!  I really enjoyed Ice skating and watching Grease the Musical.  My favourite meal in the restaurant was Macaroni cheese and we had a very funny waiter called Orlando.  He did lots of magic tricks and taught me one which I tried out on my kid’s club leader.   I loved the mini golf course which was much better than when we went on the ship 2 years ago.  I got lots of holes in one!’

Owen – Aged 9

‘On the Independence of the Seas I likes the trampolines because I got to put on a Virtual Reality headset and bounce in Robot land!  It was very fun!  I was sad that the laser tag wasn’t working but we went ice skating instead and found it funny that I kept falling over.  I loved kids club and we had some brilliant leaders, especially one called Volcano who was fun to play fire ball with.  I liked to eat pizza in Sorrento’s.  I tried out boogie boarding on the flow rider.  It was a bit scary when I wiped out but I’m glad I tried it!’

Anabel- Aged 7

‘My favourite part of the cruise was the silent disco.  We got to stay up late sing to lots of songs I liked.  It was very funny seeing everyone dancing to the macarena and doing a ‘follow the leader’ line around the promenade.  The street parties were fun too! I loved it in the swimming pools where I played for hours with my friends!  I made so many friends in kids club that I wanted to go every night. One night our whole kids club got our faces painted and went down to the Royal Promenade to sing songs and chant like pirates. All the waiters were very funny and knew magic!  They all did a dance at the end of the cruise which was funny.’

The children were all very sad to leave and wish the Independence of the Seas wasn’t leaving us to go to America soon!
