I’m converted…. MSC are so me!! Part 2

Day 2 on-board the MSC Seaview was really all about exploring the ship and trying out as much as we could.  We had a tour with some of the ladies from MSC.  One of the highlights of this was exploring the pool deck area.  There is a covered pool area (which is great for those rainy days!) and some outdoor pools, hot tubs and an amazing water play area with slides, splash play and adventure play areas for kids of all ages!  This is an amazing area and I thought of how much fun my kids would have here!  I will have to take them on-board with me next time.

We walked up to the top of the ship and saw the zip wire.  We would have tried this out today, but it was too windy to use unfortunately.  We did however get the chance to walk over the bridge of sighs which is a glass bottomed bridge 40 metres above sea level which makes you feel like you are walking on water.  I must admit when I looked down from this my tummy did some flips!  It’s a great feature to try out though.

We toured the bars and restaurants.  Everything is so modern and fantastically designed you really did feel how new this ship is!  We were given an activity pass later and me and some colleagues tried out the 4D cinema and Formula one simulator.  We had great fun in the 4D cinema shooting at zombies and screaming as we felt like we were crashing from a huge height!  I think the less said about my driving skills on the Formula one simulator the better! I had lots of fun trying not to crash though!  There is also a full-sized bowling alley and arcade machines in this area too which is fab!  These are at an extra cost though but by buying a pass you can normally get better value if you are going to be trying out a few things in the arcade area.

We had lunch in the main restaurant today.  As we were dining at speciality restaurants on both evenings, we wanted to try this out.  We were seated straight away and given a menu.  The menu wasn’t huge, but I would assume there are more options for dinner.  I have a fish main with rice and although service was a bit slow it was very tasty when it came out.  For dinner we dined in the Teppanyaki restaurant.  This was lots of fun and a must try dining experience!  The chefs made this very entertaining by singing, dancing, making animals out of food and even throwing egg in our mouths!  It was very interactive and a great option for the whole family.  The food was fantastic too (although there was so much, I struggled to eat it all!)

There was due to be a silent disco that evening but due to the weather this was not on.  We had some drinks in the bar area by the Teppanyaki and then ended up in the atrium with some yummy hot chocolates and cakes listening to a fantastic singer playing a guitar.  There really is an area for everyone on-board, busy if you want to party but also nice relaxed quiet areas too!

We had a fantastic time and I will definitely be booking on-board my own MSC holiday in the future.   If you have any questions about MSC or need help finding your perfect cruise holiday call me on 03333002638.
