What will 2020 bring ?

Well launch is well and truly underway and 2020 is looking as though it is going to be a big one !! Not only in the world of Cruising but it is the year I will hit the big 60 !!! OMG how as that happened? I only feel 20 odd (may not look it but it is what is inside).
I was really freaked out when making a recent booking that will be departing on the actual day and really hit home. Anyway enough of me.

What I really want tell you is that it is looking like the Battle of the Big Ships, all leaving from the UK port of Southampton. With no fly cruises increasing dramatically in demand which Cruise Lines have jumped in to accommodate us?

Royal Caribbean will bring Anthem back for her second season along with the newly refurbished Independence of the Seas. These two alone can carry over 9000 passengers and will have a selection of 6,7,8 13 and 14 night European itineraries.

PO will have the brand New Iona a perfect ship for her inaugural season, she will be visiting some of Norway’s iconic destinations. The glass walls of the Grand Atrium will allow lots of natural light bringing the amazing scenery into the ship. The all new Conservatory Mini-Suite cabins will also bring the outside in as the rooms open out directly to the sea. You must see this.

2020 will be the first year that Celebrity will have two ships based in Southampton. Apex which will be the 2nd Edge Class ship will be named in April 2020 and this will be a big event for Celebrity as they have not had a UK Naming since Eclipse 10 years agao. I was actually at this past event. Fingers crossed for Apex. Her Itineraries and under wraps until she goes on sale at the end of this month. 28.11.18. Silhouette will then be on her third ex UK year.

Wow what a choice and not an aircraft in sight. I am sure I will not struggling finding something fantastic to celebrate on.
