What shall we do tonight.

So many guests have such varying expectations and tastes in evening entertainment whilst on board a cruise. I love nothing more than a Musical production whereas my husband would cringe at the thought. (depending on what).

Your evening meal too can be enough for some followed by a night cap and bed or a flutter in the casino. Some watch movies under the stars wrapped in a cozy blanket or listen to the artist in the piano bar. Quizzes, tribute acts and Comedians are also to be found to name but a few.

More Cruise lines now are introducing Musicals at Sea some lines are even charterer whole ships to Pop, Rock and Opera lovers with specialist themed cruises.

Here are a few you can see,

Royal Caribbean on board Allure of the Seas is showing the ever popular Mamma Mia with an array of classic ABBA songs to get the whole audience singing along. Dancing Queen, Does your Mother Know and Knowing Me Knowing you will never sound the same again. I have recently seen the follow up on screen and I am sure this little weepy will soon b made into a stage production.

Also on Allure in the spectacular Water Theatre at the aft of the ship you can see a magical show called Oceanaria where the pool transforms into an underwater civilisation and you can watch divers, dancers and acrobats tell a story of the underwater world accompanied by an orchestra to have you sitting on the edge of your seats.

Norwegian Cruise Line’s Breakaway is hosting the Rock Classic Rock of Ages where Silverseas is doing Mind the Gap a 60’s revival featuring songs from The Beatles, Rolling Stones and Lulu. This will sure bring back some memories for some.

Other events are also shown from Cirque Dreams on board Norwegian Epic to McBeth of Cunard.

So something for all. I went to see Miss Saigon last week (not on a ship) it was totally amazing very haunting at times and made me cry.
