MSC Cruises’ have a new private island.

The travel press are excited today as the talk of the opening of MSC Cruises’ brand new private island later this year. This purpose built paradise will be called Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve. What could be better than paradise within the paradise of the beautiful Bahamas.

With two miles of white sandy beaches, a vast choice of water sports with some breath taking snorkeling,family friendly crystal clear waters for safe swimming to miles of stunning views.

The first ships to stop will be from 9th November 2019 which include MSC Seaside, MSC Meraviglia, MSC Davina and MSC Armonia. It will be easy to soak up the sun and nip back to your cabin if you wish.

The island will cater for all tastes why not join a cocktail making class go on a kayak tour learn to paddle board, they even have movies under the stars and a kids club.

After all that take a drink at one of the 7 authentic Bahamian beach bars have a cold ice cream or a coffee. They will also be plenty of shops and market stalls selling local crafts. If you just want to chill and relax there is even a spa using biodegradable and eco-friendly products. In fact the whole island being a marine reserve will allow the surrounding ecosystem to thrive.

There are also plans for a marine laboratory to research climate-change coral with an opportunity for guests to learn how to protect oceans and preserve coral. As the emphasis is on eco friendly there will not be many places to dine as you will have all of that onboard however there will be a small selection which will include carts serving street food.

Wow what a fab place to chill.
