Happy New Year

In my last blog I mentioned we were heading to the Marco Polo for Christmas Conference. Well it has taken me this long to get my land legs back and tell you all about it.
As usual an amazing time was had by all. Cruise.Co.UK never fail to amaze me and pull out all stops to look after their staff.
Cruise and Maritime too gave us an unforgettable experience. Now they had no control over the sea conditions and my oh my it was choppy to say the least.

She was originally launched back in 1964 so yes she was old and rather dated but again clean inviting and wonderful friendly staff. We were allocate a category 12 Premium Ocean view with an average size of 161 sq feet gave us so much room and plenty of storage. We had two large window, tea and coffee making facilities and a shower room. I did get to peak into the lead in grade and these did seem very small with two tiny port holes I think the inside would have been better if that was the grade you were considering.

The outside space was also large and well kept.

The whole ship had a warm and homely feel with several bars and places to eat. We all had to do the life boat drill and actually go on deck to our assigned boats. I have been finding recently we have been taken to a bar or the theatre and have been told what to do.

As always when work was through we all knew how to party and as usual our first night was fancy dress movie style. It was amazing the effort everyone put in some of the sights had us laughing out loud.
I was Cleopatra my roomie Di was Disney’s Maleficent. Our directors were the cast of the Wizard of Oz with our CEO being Glinda the good fairy. He played this part rather well I must say.

We were also treated to a night out in Dublin as we were docked overnight that too was an experience did not think I would ever say I quite like the taste of Guinness well I had to add a touch of black
current.

So hear we are in 2019 and I would like to thank you all for your custom and lovely feedback on my page. HAPPY NEW YEAR ONE AND ALL.
