Chill Ladies.

Although all of you know my passion is cruising. If I lived nearer Southampton I would be on a cruise for every break I would be lucky enough to have. However with living in Yorkshire this is not always possible.

Yorkshire itself is a beautiful County and we just do not get to see enough of it. When our little group of ladies decided to do our annual men free break away, why? we asked ourselves travel for miles when we have this on our doorstep. So we drove just under an hour from our homes to what seemed to be the middle of nowhere to Kilnwick Percy Resort in a Yorkshire Hamlet called Pocklington. It was a golf resort so actually our husbands would have loved it too.(Well maybe next time) With an amazing gym, spa. bar and restaurant and a very pretty wedding venue.

As there was six very close friends we opted for the 3 bedroom all en suite Deluxe Villa which was totally amazing.

Lots of space and furnished to a very high standard. Everything was included even a dishwasher along with the detergent. We sorted what we were doing for food and took most things with us. I made dinner for the Friday which just needed re heating and Sharon had pre prepared a tasty Sunday Lunch. Next time we will shop on line and have it delivered to the Lodge as the people next door did to give us more room in the car.

After some lovely woodland and lakeside walks on the Saturday we ate in the Club house that evening. Menu was good and very reasonably priced we even had a 10% as staying on the resort. The views were so beautiful.

The hot tub was very hot, with ladies of a certain age we probably needed
a cool tub but what a giggle we had.

Sunday was spent in PJ’s till lunchtime then a brisk walk a home made lunch followed by Mama Mia and a glass or two of wine. What a way to relax and enjoy our free time. We all agreed how lucky we are to have this so close to where we live and be able to enjoy our quality time together.
