Queen Mary 2 will have ballet on board

Cunard have announced a partnership with the English National Ballet with performers joining Queen Mary 2 on a sailing departing Southampton for New York on August 11 2019.

Cunard is well know for its world class entertainment with its RADA performances on QM2 and fantastic entertainment on their ships.  This announcement will allow passengers to watch morning ballet classes and afternoon rehearsals ( generally rehearsals for any entertainment on cruise ships is behind closed doors)

The seven-night transatlantic crossing will feature special performances in the ship’s Royal Court Theatre, including extracts from “Swan Lake,” “Dust” and “Le Corsaire” and offer passengers the chance to meet leading dancers.

Queen Mary 2 is already known for having the first Planetarium at Sea where guests can can take a virtual ride into outer space. Also she boasts the largest library at sea with over 8000 books to keep you entertained on those Trans Atlantic voyages.  The food is excellent on board too and Queen mary 2 also has an Afternoon Tea with white gloved waiters who serve fresh scones with cream, finger sandwiches and premium tea in the Queens Room.  There is also a promenade deck to fill your lungs with fresh air and of course to work off that extra cream scone you had.

Queen Mary 2 has sailings all year round from Southampton to New York and from New York to Southampton.  Remember you can fly to New York, take in a few days in this amazing city, buy loads of gifts and sail back to Southampton with NO luggage allowance on the ship!
