Celebrity ‘Edge’ into the cruise Industry

Pardon the pun but Celebrity Edge has been delivered to Celebrity and is due to start her sailings next month.  She will be in Caribbean and Barbudan waters to start but she will be visiting European waters in Summer next year.

Below are a few features on the ship.  The reason for this blog is to say that a good friend of mine Captain Matthew from Greece is the Staff Captain on board.  So if you get to sail on this amazing ship, tell him i said ‘Ella’  Matthew is the one on the left.

So why the hype? Well this ship has the first Magic Carpet at sea!  This is the worlds first cantilevered platform at sea. The size of a tennis court it has seating and a bar and travels 13 stories up and down the side of the ship.

The Theatre is a truly contemporary space designed to blur the line between audience and performance and immerse you in entertainment like never before. With four stage areas, three moving backdrops, rotating spiral staircases, 16 synchronised projectors, and a duo directional rotating platform that raises almost seven feet above the stage, The Theatre will take performances to a whole new level.

The Rooftop Garden is a living playscape designed to awaken the inner-child in all of us. During the day, drift away to the rhythm of live musical performances.  At night, experience A Taste of Film, an interactive fusion of food and film that will excite your palate and your imagination. See a live outdoor concert, curl up and enjoy our Rooftop Garden Cinema Series, or gaze up at the sea of stars above you at our Beyond the Edge Astronomy Series. With oversized art installations including unique treetop sculptures, two 2-storey hot tubs,  and 165-square-feet by 18-feet-high private cabanas.
