Viaggio Fantastico!

As someone who loves Italy as a destination and wishes I could speak the language (good old Google translate!) I am in LOVE with the fantastic escorted trip we are offering in September 2019. For me, this trip includes the really “best” bits of the country and combine that with a fantastic cruise on the MSC Seaveiw – you have a winner!   http://https://www.cruise.co.uk/tailor-made-cruises/msc-cruises/msc-seaview/04-sep-19/18437/?cruiseCode=true

The first part of this trip includes a stay in Sorrento combined with 7 nights tour of the area including a boat trip to Positano , which has to be one of the most most beautiful areas of the country.  A full day visit to Capri, home of the late Gracie Fields (if you remember her) is also included. Capri is a lovely spot with a rugged coastline, and plenty of good shops with a lovely ambience about the place.  After that you have a tour of a lemon farm, which is where they make the lovely limoncello drink. If you have not tried it – you need to!

After your stay in Sorrento, you make your way to Rome via Pompeii, which is a fantastic place to visit. You would not believe how big an area this is and still they are unearthing areas on the site, it really is amazing! So, you arrive in Rome and have a great sightseeing trip before making your way down to Civitavecchia to embark on the Seaview.

This ship is a new one, only launched in June of this year, and is fantastic, as you would expect.  The Seaview has a couple of really stand out features such as the waterfront boardwalk, which circumnavigates the ship , giving great access to the bars and restaurants. On deck 16 there is also the glass sky walk. Huge pool areas, a four deck atrium, yacht club (this if the premium side of the ship ) and the usual spa – this ship certainly has it all!

Once you set sail you visit, Cannes, Palma, Barcelona, Corsica, Genoa,  and La Spezia before disembarking and flying home from Rome.

You may have been to a lot of the destinations covered on the cruise however to combine this with the wonderful tour before hand and a fantastic ship,  I think is something special.

Let me know your thoughts!

As always, till next time x
