Is This What You Are Dreaming Of?

Do you yearn for “that something different?” When you are starting to plan for your next holiday, do you sometimes think “I wish there was just something else I can try?” Yes, there is something else, and I know from one of my clients how wonderful this can be.

Sea Dream Yacht club was founded in 2002 by Larry Pimentel (who is now at Azamara cruises) and his Norwegian partner Atle Brynestad and is a private cruise line with it’s offices in Oslo, Norway.  These ships (yachts) of which they are only 2,  have been named the top 1st and 2nd best boutique ships this year in the Berlitz cruising guide.

They are twin “mega” yachts with the services of 95 crew members and 112 guests that make each guest feel like they are on their very own private luxury yacht. With only 56 staterooms the  yachts are known for elegant informality, highly personal service, inclusive open bar and gratuities, luxury accommodation and world-class cuisine.

All of the staterooms have a window and are about 195 sq feet in size. Or, if you fancy really splashing out you could try the Owner’s Suite which is a massive 447 sq feet.  All of the staterooms have a fridge stocked with beer, soft drinks and water, an I pod docking station, Bulgari amenities in the bathroom, bathrobe and slippers to name but a few.

From the moment you come aboard the yachting experience begins with a warm welcome from the captain with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.  How about lounging on the signature Balinese Dream Beds, sipping a cocktail or relaxing in the Spa? Or for you who are a little more active the yachts are equipped with all of the water sports equipment you need.  From the Personal Sailboats, Hobie Cat, Catamarans, Kayaks, Banana Boat , Tube, Wakeboards & Waterskis, Snorkeling Gear, Floating Island & Trampoline, Stand-up Paddleboards and Wave Runners/Jet Skis .  Or if you wanted to practise your golf skills you can go to the  golf simulator on Deck 6.

The Top of the Yacht Bar is the place to be if you fancy a good old natter, take in the sea breeze and 360° views. After dinner you can make your way back to the bar or try out the casino. The pool deck becomes a cinema in the evening or if you want a bit more quiet you can check out the library.  One of the best experiences my client had  was sleeping at night on the deck in one of those Balinese beds – now that would be great, wouldn’t it!

Destination wise the yachts sail around the Caribbean, some transatlantic crossings, and the Mediterranean. You have probably done one or two of these places but have you ever sailed on one of these yachts?

So, if this has wetted your appetite and want to know a little more, give me a call!

Till next time x
