Time to Shine – A Night Around the World!

Shine Party – P&O thanks its Travel Agents.

The build-up to P&O’s first ever Shine Party promised an evening of mystery and it certainly didn’t disappoint.

The party was to be hosted by Phileas Fogg to celebrate his record-breaking travels around the world in 80 days.

I was fortunate to be invited to the party that promised to be a glittering affair at the stately home of Phileas Fogg, as he shared the sights, sounds and tastes of his epic voyage with 300 plus VIP guests.

We were transported to the Seven Valley Vintage Steam Railway Station to check-in.  I must admit a few of us thought we were going on a train, but how wrong we were.

After our champagne reception, we were then ferried on to coaches and taken to our final ‘secret’ destination.

We headed into the grounds of the West Midlands Safari Park and alighted outside a stately home to be greeted by the man himself, Mr Phileas Fogg.

We were greeted by a band playing outside Mr Fogg’s home and by the man himself who invited us in to share his adventures.

Each room we delved into took us to a different part of the world.  Gin O’clock in Bombay, shortly before sipping cocktails in New York and playing roulette in San Francisco and then on to the waving cats of Hong Kong (can you spot the difference?).

We then went into the most scrumptious room of the Orient to taste its amazing canapes, before finishing off with a candy-floss treat (and all before dinner)!

We were then called to dinner led by the brass band, passing dinosaurs, penguins and large ornate eggs along the way.

The atmosphere, food, company and dancing was fantastic with the evening finishing off with a performance from the Cuban Brothers.

I am very fortunate to work in a role that I absolutely love and enjoy assisting my clients with their dream cruise holidays and would like to thank all those that have booked with me before.

To any new clients, email me or give me a call and let me help you build your next adventure.
