Conference time again and it is Christmas jumper day on my birthday!

By the time you’re reading this, I will be hard at work at our company conference!

Last year we were in ‘sunny’ Butlins in Skegness (it snowed heavily that weekend).  This year we will be onboard Marco Polo for 3 nights sailing from Bristol to Dublin and back again and hopefully, the seas and the weather will be kinder to us.

We will have arrived in Dublin today, Monday 17 December and as our fellow passengers head out into Dublin’s’ fair city we will be listening to guest speakers from our suppliers.

This is an invaluable experience as it gives us a real insight into specific cruise lines who will be represented during our three days onboard.

We will have an opportunity to let our hair down later on and go ashore for some team bonding!

It is Christmas jumper wearing day on Tuesday and this year I have a very ‘tasteful’ one for our company photo so look out for me (photo in my next blog)!  Below was last year’s jumper!

It will also give us the chance to experience at first-hand the Marco Polo.  I have been onboard before but this was only for one night and we stayed in port, so this time it will give me an opportunity to see how the ship runs whilst at sea and how the crew and staff operate and take time to look at the facilities on offer.

I will be spending time with my family over the festive period and will return from annual leave on 27 December.  Will you be thinking of your next cruise then?  Will you pick up a bargain?
