A Big Splash…

Volcano Bay is Universal Florida’s newest water park.

There is a wide variety of attractions for everyone to enjoy. There is a smaller children’s section and for the more adventurous of you, there are plenty of bigger slides to choose from.

My favourite attraction is the volcano that you can partially walk through which connects to a pool area. Every now and then the pool turns on to a wave pool which is really fun.

Like the other Universal parks you can pay for all day drinks so you can help yourself. I would definitely recommend it if you are planning to spend a whole day there.  There are lots of restaurants to choice from too.

A highlight of this park is when you enter they give you a watch which you wear at all times. If there is a long wait for a ride you can tap the watch on an system by the ride and it will give you a time to go back so you can go off and make the most of the park. This is a great idea especially when its busy or peak time like the school holidays.

We spent a few days at the park and on the last day I decided to treat myself to premium seating. It costs around $70 for two but the price varies on the time of year. It is a private beach area of the park which has a staff member there for any questions and also a waitress who will go get drinks and food for you so you can relax and enjoy the sunshine. The sunbeds are a lot better quality too and have a fantastic parasol which really helped.

We stayed at the Universal Cabana Bay Hotel and this is about a 5 minute walk to the park so no need to take transport and it was great to be able to come and go from the park as we pleased.

If you are planning on going to Orlando, please do try and spend a day at Volcano Bay. You will not be disappointed!
