Winter Season announced for Iona

Exciting times for P&O’s new ship Iona. Iona is currently being constructed in Germany and she is being launched in May 2020.

The first season for Iona will be cruising the Fjords and many regular P&O guests were hoping for the winter sunshine destinations, it doesn’t sound like they will be disappointed.

The new winter season has been announced this week and between October 2020 and March 2021 Iona will sail on seven and fourteen-night itineraries, they will feature late-night departures and more overnight stays. The programme will go on general sale from March 18th 2019.

Loyalty Tiers Caribbean, Baltic and Ligurian will be on sale from 8 am to 4 pm on the 17th of March 2019.

A welcoming new programme of shore excursions will be on offer for the Ports of call in Spain, Portugal and the Canaries. Also, cities such as Rotterdam, Zeebrugge and Hamburg are among featured ports in Europe.

Reading information about the winter season it seems that insider knowledge has been used to expand on more exciting shore excursions and giving people longer stays even overnights in Ports are what guests have wanted and it sounds like they have been listened to.

Iona has sold very well for her debut season and winter looks to be attracting interest already. This is definitely one to book early … I am looking forward to the Launch for Iona 2021.
