There are designated smoking areas available onboard with ashtrays that are emptied regularly. These areas include the cigar lounges, sections of the nightclub and a portion of the open deck. Cruisers should not smoke or vape from their staterooms and balconies.
Casual attire onboard is advised, depending on the destination, it is recommended you bring a jumper, jacket or coat for the cooler evenings or shore excursions along with comfortable shoes.
In the evenings for dinner, it is recommended you pack what you would usually wear to a nice restaurant at home. For formal nights (usually on five-day cruises or longer) you should bring at least one formal dining outfit: evening gowns or cocktail dresses for ladies and tuxedos, dinner jackets or dark suits for men.
Minimum ages must be at least 6 month of the age at the time of embarkation and 12 months of age for Trans-Atlantic cruises and remote itineraries. Guests under the age of 21 must travel in a stateroom with a guest who is 21 years or older.

The package covers premium drinks, unlimited WiFi and gratuities – which is worth over £70 for guests who pay for these items in advance of their cruise, or onboard. The all-inclusive premium drinks include cocktails, wine, beer, spirits, coffee and tea. Guests who prefer soft drinks or are under the drinking age can take advantage of the likes of fruit juices, mocktails and smoothies.

Luxury is the aim of the game at Princess, and all facilities are designed to help you relax. There’s nothing like a good night of rest to give you the energy needed to tackle a long day of excursions, so drift away in the Princess Luxury Bed. Developed with sleep expert Dr Michael Breus, this bed design has been awarded ‘best cruise ship bed’ by Cruise Critic.
All cabins come equipped with all the basic amenities that you’d find in a luxury hotel, like a satellite flat screen TV, 100% cotton linens, complimentary toiletries and waffle bathrobes. A refrigerator and digital security features help round out the amenities on offer. If you upgrade to a suite, you can expect even more pampering with gel eye masks, free DVDs and more.
Princess caters for all ages, and with that in mind there’s plenty of activities for children and teens along with group babysitting in the evenings. Teens can mix and mingle with peers in their own formal dinner event, while pizza parties and movie nights get the little ones involved with their new friends.
Visit the adults-only Sanctuary on the top deck to unwind with soothing music, fresh beverages and light spa bites. You can book an alfresco massage in a private cabana, or visit the Lotus Spa to select from an extensive menu of treatments. From a basic mani-pedi to a detoxifying seaweed wrap, you’ll emerge feeling rejuvenated and simply gorgeous. There’s also a fitness centre on hand, with weight machines, treadmills and exercise courses. Zumba, Tai Chi and Yoga are just a few options here to boost your mood. If you prefer to enjoy the fresh air, run a few laps around the outdoor jogging track!
Princess Cruises is now able to offer WiFi as part of the Princess Plus package due to an increasing number of ships being upgraded to ‘MedallionNet’, which incorporates next-generation onboard technology to allow 'fast, reliable and unlimited' connectivity. WiFi onboard Ocean Medallion ships is said to be 'The Fastest WiFi At Sea!'
Service charges are included as part of the Princess Plus package which can be pre-purchased or if you prefer not to purchase this package a discretionary gratuity of $16.50 per guest for suites, $15.50 per guest for mini-suites and $14.50 per guest (including children) in all other staterooms, per day, is automatically added to your shipboard account on a daily basis.
A smart casual dress code is in force for most evening events. Princess recommends that women wear smart separates or dresses, and men can wear trousers and open neck shirts. Formal nights take place on a roughly weekly schedule, giving you the chance to show your fellow passengers just how nicely you scrub up in a cocktail dress, evening gown, dark suit or tuxedo.
