About Me

Hello… 

I live just outside Durham City in the North East. I live with my husband Gary. For those who know me will know me as Michele however for work, I’m now known as Lauren.  We have two grown-up children Lauren & Matthew, a son-in-law Gav and grandaughter Poppy. We also have  French Bulldog called Bruce… As a family, we have traveled extensively.  I’m very honored that our children still love having family holidays with Gary and myself. 

I’m very lucky to have worked in the cruise and travel industry for 18 years. Helping people arrange holidays they will never forget. I started with Going Places when my children were at school I retrained, as I wanted a career that I wanted to do not had to do, something I was passionate about. I’ve worked for Going Places/ Thomas cook in Durham City and I’ve loved every minute from arranging short breaks to tailor-made holidays of a lifetime.  

Cruise has always been my passion. I’ve been on lots of cruise ships either as my own holidays or ship visits. So I can certainly recommend a good option for you. I’m now fulfilling my passion for cruise by working for the biggest independent cruise agency in the UK.
