My trip to Turkey…………….

Just back to work after a two centre trip to the beautiful Turquoise coast of Turkey 5 days Turunc & 5 days in Kalkan, Well I have to say really wow it was hot some days reaching mid 40’s!

Easyjet flights from Manchester big thumbs up loads of leg room and flight arrived 10 minutes early my new favourite low cost airline, managed to take just hand luggage weighing in at 14 kilos free of charge, what a result.

Car hire for £15 a day gave me and my friend Lynn the flexibility we like to move around the resorts and get off the beaten track!

Had some amazing meals and the best cocktails ever! Experienced the ususal Turkish hospitiality met up some old friends and made some lovley new ones along the way!

Turunc-

This little resort is so charming and picturesque with its small promenade and little seafront restaurants this resort has the feel good factor, many guests returning year after year.

Amazing views accross to Icmeler and Marmaris and frequent water taxis should you want to explore the neighbouring resorts. Got a lovely blow dry for £4 and breakfast for about £2.50 the locals treat you like family it really is a lovely place………………………

Then 3 and half hours lovely drive down to the cosmopolitan Kalkan were the posh people go.

Upmarket restaurants and cocktail bars with prices to match couldnt quite believe at one place 2 G& Ts cost 140 lira yes £20! However this is a place I fell in love with, designer shops cobbled streets amazing views just devine, met some lovley people here that will be lifelong friends Im sure.

From Kalkan’s harbour, many of the beach clubs dotted around the bay are accessed by small colourful boats that provide a complimentary service to transfer guests, and traditional wooden Gulets offer boat trips to the beaches, islands and inlets nearby. Water sports, diving and fishing trips are also offered.

Secluded beaches and some swanky boutique hotels, already planning my next trip here for September fingers crossed!
