Will I let them (terrorists) effect my life ?

We all know about the dreadful atrocities going on in the world, where the terrorists are concerned , and I got to wondering. Would I let it stop me travelling to the likes of Egypt, Turkey, Tunisia or Paris ?

I would like to think not, but I have to be honest that is one of the reasons my husband and I have changed from land based holidays to cruising.

With Easy Jet, Thomas Cook etc. all continuing the ban on flights to Egypt until at least 26th March 2016, It really makes me wonder were will it all end?

” Another cruise line changes its Itinerary so as not to include Turkey ports of call !”

Then there are certain cruise lines that are changing the ports of call, MSC are dropping Istanbul and Izmir on the Magnificas Itinerary and replacing with Athens and Mykanos, Crystal are loosing Turkey from its ports of call, and who can blame them. The terrorist threat is out there and when you travel with your family, safety has to come first and though I really feel sorry that the waiters etc. that work in the tourist industry and are really going to struggle , I have to admit I sleep a little easier knowing my customers are not going to be put in harms way.

The decision to pull out from Istanbul can not have been an easy one for the cruise companies , But after January  12th bombing I can not blame them. So I guess now there are going to be a lot of unhappy travellers that wanted a bit of winter warmth with their families having to change their holiday plans for the Easter break, land based maybe not an option as the canaries sell out and the Caribbean becomes to expensive. Cruise is maybe an option instead, I myself have booked the Fjords for April , (no flights) just sailing all the way. and can not wait to see the splendour of the Norweign Fjords in all there glory.

So I guess in answer to my original question ” will I let them effect me?”

I guess I already have !
