When I’m ’64’! NOT ANY MORE !!!!

When I become a more mature adult (when I’m 64),or at least this is what I used to think, was the time to cruise. But not any more. Wow!  the ships today are so loaded with things to do for the whole family, I don’t think I will take a package holiday again.

So I wanted too share why my view point has changed so dramatically.

As my regular reader of my blogs will know , I was privileged to go on the maiden voyage of the Royal Anthem of the Seas, April last year. This was the ship that opened my eyes to all the possibility’s cruising holds.

She really is a beauty and offers something for all ages not just the ”64” age group I used to associate with cruising.

The kids clubs are amazing and cater from 3-5 (aquanauts) , 6-8 ( Explorers), and Voyagers at 9-11 years.

A little bit older and the 12-14 year old can get out from under you feet and play dodge-ball, dance revolution, xbox, and even mini talent night. then of course there are the terrible teens ! 15-17 year old have their own nightclub, roller blading, circus club (learn to be a trapezes artist) and the climbing wall for the more adventurous the surf boarding and ifly. Even Bumper cars !

Then of course what are the adults going to do whilst there little precious is off having the time of their lives?

So much, Feeling energetic, try the Gym, The I fly, the flow rider , or the running track. Feeling like relaxing the day away (the Vitality at sea has everything you need to relax). Not forgetting the adult only area.

They even have outdoor cinemas on some of the Royal Caribbean ships now, Aqua theatre is a big hit on the new Harmony of the seas and fantastic west end shows : Greece, We will Rock You and Mama Mia.

From roller blading to ice skating the fun never stops. Magicians and comedians give you so much choice not forgetting the Two70 roboshow.

And if, after all that and you have time you can visit some countries too!

Cruising is no longer just for the ‘when I’m 64 ‘ people, but something for everyone.

Please leave you comments , I would love to know what you think.
