So Finally going to get to explore Barcelona !!!

Hi All , well had my week off and sorry to say I am back off again! But this time I will be going to Barcelona tomorrow to visit the fabulous city and then on to Seaview for a couple of nights to experience all she has to offer.

But I wanted to share why this trip is so long in coming. I used to live in Spain, did so for 12 years and loved every minute. I travelled all over the country with my husband as he was a long distance truck driver delivering anything from fruit and veg to car parts all over Europe. I have passed through and even been overnighted in Barcelona but never had the chance to explore. Hence the reason I am so excited.

I asked on my facebook for things to definitely not miss and it seems that the Sagrada Familia is a must see, Gaudí’s masterpiece and judging by the pictures I have to agree. The Sagrada Familia is a Unesco World Heritage Site and attracts millions of visitors each year. We have Barcelona on so many of our packages I can not wait to share my own pictures with you. We can add 2-3 or 4 nights before a cruise if you want to explore (the choice is yours), or even to have a look after the cruise. Sometimes this helps with flights.

This looks amazing architecture, but I believe the rest of Barcelona is beautiful too, So I thought I might treat myself to an open top tour (weather dependent) around the city to check out the best of the rest I am particularly looking forward to visiting the Ramblas areas. I know that the Spanish boutiques are beautiful,(even if the clothes tend to be made for 6ft slim young ladies) all of which I am not lol.

This certainly looks interesting and so colourful.

I am a bit of a football fan so hoping to maybe get a bit closer to the Neu Camp as soak up the sites. It always looked so big from the motorway, I am sure up close it is huge.

But my main love is the food in Spain, A beautiful Paella, the Ensalada mixta, or Russia are to die for. I asked one of my Spanish customers for a few ideas and bless him he has sent a list of fabulous places to eat. Caballeria or 7Portes sound just the right places so I will let you know how I get on,  or even Sagari in the gothic quarter might be worth the venture.

Anyway, keep an eye on my facebook for pictures and hopefully video lives if you want to see how its going, and I will be back with all the down low on Barcelona in my next blog, Not forgetting the MSC Seaview…….

Check out one of these packages and see what you think…..
