Independence of the Seas Wow or not , read to to see!

Hi All, well as you will no doubt of realized I have just got back from my 2 day trip on Independence of the Seas.  My first time on this ship and having just had a refit, did she wow me?? Yes she had the wow. The wow for me was the outdoor activities. They are amazing, so much to do.

The first thing that impressed me was the check-in, very smooth hardly any wait. We did have to wait until 1 pm to get into our cabins, but to be honest that left time for a couple of Pina Coladas, so no worries.  The cocktails are amazing.

We then ventured around the ship to see what she now has to offer, the slides on the upper deck look fab, one actually goes out over the sea. I was going to try it but the weather changed the next day and did not fancy the cold weather. The flow rider looks fab too.so wanted to go on the Slide, but by the time I had my costume on the weather had changed. there is also the bungee experience with the virtual headset. the little boy I watched told me it was amazing.

What I found very reassuring was the Children’s play area, They had lifejackets for up to 8 years old and there were lifeguards on duty too.

The children that were on board the first day when the sun was out seemed to be having a whale of a time. The children’s clubs were still being set up but when I peered through the windows it looked like they had lots to do. They cater for all age groups even the teens get their own hangout place.

The Royal Promenade was buzzing every day, truly coming to life on an evening. The Ben and Jerrys Icecream was handy with lots of choices and don’t forget if you book the cabin above you get free ice cream the whole cruise. If you do not mind the cow outside your room.
