First Holiday of the Year…… Going Fishing

Hi all just a quick note to update you, I will be out of the office from 26th April for a week, Off to the sunny isle of Bute.

It looks stunning, I am so looking forward to chilling there and I get to sail on a boat to the Island (so not quite a ship but better than nothing lol !) I am so excited, I think I have said once a year the family get together and spend a week chilling and relaxing, playing board games, walking, exploring and fishing. We usually rent a house for the week. We have been to the Lake District, Wales, and Just north of Glasgow in previous years. this year we found the most amazing property on the lock in the middle of nowhere on the Isle of Bute. There are 11 of us and we have a fab time. I have to say I think we have been a bit cursed in not having caught a fish as yet, but this year should be easier lol, the lock is stocked with trout. Fingers crossed.

There have been wildfires in the last couple of days, I do hope not too much damage has happened. I am looking forward to seeing the castle in Rothesay. It dates back to the 13th century and not far from where we are staying. It was made up of circular towers. Apparently, the views from the top of the walls are magnificent. I will post pics when I get back.

Ever since my mum had cancer we have tried to make time to get together as the family is so important. As I hit my 50th birthday this year and my parents hit 70 years, I count my blessings every day that we can still do this together.
