Conference and Cruise and Maritime !

Hello all, Just wanted to catch you up on where I was last weekend. Every year our wonderful company has a conference at Christmas to catch up on all what’s going on in the company. More importantly, it gives us home workers a chance to catch up with friends and colleagues.

You might remember last year it was Butlins, well I am happy to say we were back on a cruise ship this year, Marco polo with cruise and Maritime. I have to give a big shout out the wonderful staff who looked after all of us, even with the rough seas across to Dublin, we had the most amazing time. the food was lovely for those of us who made it to dinner. My Cabin was right on the back and I can honestly say the waves lifted me right off my bed at one point. That still did not stop the fun and I wanted to share a few pictures with you.

The first night onboard was the fancy dress and we had superheroes galore, Pink Ladies by the dozen, Dorothy and friends were there, with the MaryPoppinss team not far behind. My Favourite was Mrs Brown, she really had the whole ship laughing all night. The dancing got interesting with the movement of the ship. But hey we just went with it! The following day was Dublin, were we also took in a tour of the Guinness factory which was amazing, I had a ride on a horse and carriage through Dublin, seeing it all lit up for Christmas was beautiful and then we finished up at the Badbobs bar in Temple bar, where we had the most amazing time. The drinks flowed and the spare ribs were to die for. Thanks to our wonderful bosses for footing the bill. I wouldn’t have liked that one lol x

So we found out lots of secrets for the upcoming year about the cruise ships, heads up Jane McDonald is back on our screens and so is the Cruise show with Princess.

More ships to be launched from Cunard, MSC, Celebrity and P and o. it is certainly going to be an Amazing year for the industry.
