Bellissima is nearly here !

Ok, are you one of the lucky ones that will be on the maiden voyage of the all-new Bellissima from MSC. I am still holding out hope for a place.  I have to say all the videos I have seen look amazing. She is having her naming ceremony in Southampton a first for MSC. The 3-day celebration will take place 1st – 3rd March 2019.

Holly Willoughby will be hosting the celebrations, the famous tv presenter, from this morning, dancing on ice and I’m a celebrity. Three-time Grammy award winner Nile Rodgers is providing the music to get everyone in the mood to party.

Of Course, no naming ceremony for MSC would be complete without Sofia Loren (godmother to MSC cruise ships) and as always she will be cutting the ribbon, naming her and sending her on her way.

Bellissima is the largest ship ever to have a naming ceremony in Southampton, she is set to break records with this fact alone. However, I do think that as this is also the first MSC ship to launch from Southampton that is a special situation in its self.  Bellissima stands for ” possessing intense beauty, delighting the senses” I am sure she will do both of those things.

The final day will see over 3,500 agents welcomed onboard to check her out. (I do hope to be one of those, but I suppose we can not all go !), they also get to see the singer Craig David perform on the evening.

There is a new to MSC speciality restaurant called HOLA! (a tapas restaurant) from two-star Michelin Chef Ramon Freixa

A new French restaurant and not forgetting the Chocolate Bar from award-winning pastry chef Jean -Philippe Maury.

She will have a 96-meter promenade with over 200 brands in the shopping centre. Do not forget the fantastic Cirque de Soleil at sea.

and lastly, she is also following the tradition of the rest of the fleet with the partnership with Lego and Checo to make the children’s clubs a place your children will want to be.
