Australia and New Zealand My Bucket list priority!!

Hi all, I have had a few guests going on the Australia and New Zealand cruises and I wanted to tell you about what they have to offer. I would love to do this trip if only to see the wonderful wildlife and scenery.

I have had a look at several itineraries and Ultimate Australia and New Zealand seem to give the best coverage, I feel if you are going to fly all that way you need to pack in as much as you can. My customer very kindly said I could share their experience in the Koala sanctuary. The Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary seems to be one of the best in Brisbane, you even get to hold one !! One of the best places to spot native Australian animals, which has been devoted to wildlife conservation since 1927. As well as being the oldest and largest koala sanctuary in the country with more than 130 resident koalas, the sanctuary is home to kangaroos, wombats, emus, dingoes, Tasmanian devils, and platypus

Also, you can see the Kangaroos up close too !!

But let’s face it I think most people go to Australia to see the Iconic Sydney Opera house and with 2 or 3 nights before the cruise included, you can visit the Blue Mountains and the Sydney opera house. check out this link if its just Australia you fancy….  Australia Bucket List

The cost of building the opera house ended up being $120 million Australian dollars, it was opened by Queen Elizabeth II on 20th October 1973. She has since visited four times, most recently in 2006. It was added to UNESCO’s World Heritage List in 2007

Or maybe Like me you would want to see New Zealand too and see the Hobbit and two hours south of Auckland lies the lush farmland of Hobbiton Movie Set; it has more than 44 unique hobbit holes, including Bag End (Bilbo’s house).  …. The Ultimate Australia & New Zealand Odyssey with Great Barrier Reef, Sydney & Auckland

I would love to see the natives in all their finery and witness the beautiful landscapes that makeup New Zealand. Auckland, based around 2 large harbours, is a major city in the north of New Zealand’s North Island. In the centre, the iconic Sky Tower has views of Viaduct Harbour, which is full of superyachts and lined with bars and cafes. Auckland Domain, the city’s oldest park, is based around an extinct volcano and home to the formal Wintergardens. Rotorua, a town set on its namesake lake on New Zealand’s North Island, is renowned for its geothermal activity and Maori culture. In Te Puia’s Whakarewarewa Valley, there are bubbling mud pools and the 30m-tall Pohutu Geyser, which erupts many times daily. It’s also home to a living Maori village and the New Zealand Maori Arts and Crafts Institute, with traditional wood carving and weaving schools.

For the sports lovers out there the Australian Grand Prix is a must see, but why not take in a cruise while you are there   Australian Grand Prix, Sydney & Melbourne with New Zealand Highlights
