No More Tips For MSC

From 25th June 2019 MSC  no longer add Tips to your booking, Bookings made before this date, will still be subject to their terms and conditions as it was at the time of booking. It has also meant the prices have been kept really low – excellent news ! they are going to be included within the cost you pay for your cruise. It has already been put into place with P&O too & some other cruise lines. MSC are saying there is no fair way to guarantee all of their staff on each ship are given the opportunity to receive these benefits for all their hard work.

As a rule with cruise lines, the Tips/Gratuities are automatically added to your onboard account, will either be in Dollars or Pound Sterling dependant on the cruise line and can start from as little as £5.00 per person per day, the rate will be the same for children too.  They are removable if you visit the guest services on your ship in most cases, although some may not be too happy and may question your reasons to be removing them.

From MSC Antonio Paradiso, MSC‘s Managing Director UK & Ireland, stated: “The decision has been made in order to simplify the booking process and ensure the best possible onboard experience for our guests.” 

This is excellent news from MSC who have a huge  & regular following of clients who book year after year. Puzzling you may find the amount of tips can vary from ship to ship and also the duration and the area they are travelling too, so in the past, there has never been a set figure for them, which has been confusing.

So I am personally saying well done to MSC to go along with this very popular decision and I’m sure will be greatly appreciated by your guests past and in the future.
