2019- Who is launching new ships? – Here is my guide for you..

MSC – Bellissima (March) – She launched this month and will join Meraviglia in the Meraviglia – Class of ships

• Tonnage of 171.598GT
• The capacity of 4500 passengers.

They will build 17 new ships before 2027 including four smaller luxury ships. Guests will have the experience of ZOE who is the world’s first digital assistant, a voice-enabled Artificial Intelligence device fitted to every cabin – How amazing is that?

Scenic – Scenic Eclipse (August) – She has been delayed until August time and she will sail from Reykjavik to Quebec City, she will be the ultra-luxury “discovery Yacht” and promises to be a show stopper, having access to a helicopter and submarines.

Princess Cruise – Sky Princess ( October) – Launching this autumn is the Sky Princess and she will carry 3660 passengers and boats the largest balconies at sea with its two sky suites, they will offer guests a private vantage point of the ships “Movies Under The Stars” cinema screen, as well as 270 – degrees panoramic views.

Saga- Spirit of Discovery ( July) – Launching this summer  – Spirit of Discovery – the first purpose-built ship just for Saga, she will bring a new bit of competition sailing from Southampton, carrying only 999 guests, all of the cabins are with balconies. She also has a nightspot which is called The Club – and will have regular visits and performances from Jools Holland….. Sure to be a hit.

Hurtigruten – MS Roald Amundsen (May) If you are ever lucky enough to go with Hurtigruten make the most of it, the itineraries are stunning, The new Roald Amundsen was named after the Norwegian Explorer, Hurtigruten’s latest ship will employ new hybrid technology designed by Rolls Royce no less, and will hope to entice a new era of green cruising. It will visit the Northwest Passage, Chilean Fjords and Antartica.
