The Romantic Rhine here we come!

This is the time of year when we seem to have a lot of River cruise offers so you can imagine how pleased I was last week when we were told myself and Eleni have won a coveted spot on the Crosi Europe trip on The Rhine Valley from Amsterdam.

We have never been to Amsterdam so requested a pre cruise night in the City which I cant wait for. I have always been keen to visit Anne Franks House and learn about the history of Amsterdam.

We then head off on the 11th Nov for 5 nights on The Rhine River and travel through Koln, Iffzheim before traveling through the Rhine Valley

and finally onto the beautiful town of Strasbourg.

I love the idea of having so much beautiful scenery on the doorstep and being so close the the river you can smell and almost touch it from your French Balcony Cabin.

we are setting out on the MS Douce France which looks a beautiful vessel. no doubt there are lots of exciting tours along the way which I think is all part of the fun.

What have we got planned?

in Nijmegan we are taking a coach to visit the Kroller – Muller Museum, home to famous painters such as Van Gogh Picasso and modern sculptures. we will spend the afternoon and evening on route to Cologne.

Day 3 is Cologne where we have a guided tour of the old town of Cologne before getting back on board on route to Koblenz.

Day 4 Koblenz

Guided tour of the old town of Koblenz I cant wait for the scenic cruising through the Rhine Valley as there are so many famous landmarks and Castles on the River. 

Day 5 is Strasbourge which looks the most incredible city.

This is what I would call a mini River cruise most river cruises are 7-8 nights but if you are unsure what to expect you can book some wonderful ioptions on 4-5 night French River and Rhine cruises.
