Off to Mont Blanc

For years Eleni and I have seen those amazing insta snaps of snowboarders enjoying some Apres ski and time in the log cabins of the french alps all snug and cozy.

Well this year we decided was our time to finally take some time in The largest French mountain range in Europe “Mont Blanc” set 4810 Meters above sea level its the highest peak in Europe.

We are not one for the slopes so we are going to do lots of Christmas markets and take lots of gorgeous snaps in and around the fresh powder. I did look up on trip advise a train journey to a place call Annercy which has the largest Lake in France and it actually has one of the finest Christmas markets around but I don’t know if we will take the trip or just enjoy our time in The Chaminox valley.

We fly to Geneva Switzerland then have a transfer in the Alps over to The Mercure Hotel in the heart+ of Chaminox for 6 nights. I must be honest working in travel has its benefits and I do feel we got a fantastic price. In fact all of our holidays this year have occurred outside of Prime season and have saved a pretty penny.

The main snow and ski season does not really get started until after boxing day but over recent years the Chaminox valley has been getting more and more snow fall so we honestly don’t know what to expect.

Les Des Alps are famous as there are two huge mountains there is an excursion you can do to a place call on The edge set over 4,000 high you can stand in a glass box and look over the edge of the mountain. to be honest the cable car will likely be scary enough and I have never really tested myself at any kind of altitude.

One of the items on my bucket list has always been to see the clouds from a mountain and I am told there is nothing quite like it. I am hoping for clear bright days with plenty of snow.

Wish us luck wont you.

Look Out for my pictures in 2 weeks time.

Bonjour (“as Del Boy Would Say!”)
