Now you Symi

Symi island is well know among Rhodinian’s (natives of Rhodes Greece)but seemed very unspoiled and somewhat unknown by others. One of those typical Greek private islands worth exploring.
The boat trip was very present and extremely fast in transit. People were also able to bring luggage on-board for those staying on the island for a few days.
We had 5 hours to explore and if I am honest I now have some advice for you.
We didn’t time our trip well enough to take a little boat trip to the towns beaches so instead found ourselves at a bit of a loss with over 5 hours to kill.
In Symi the recommended is bus trips to the bay where you can swim and snorkel or hire a little bike so you can get up to a higher elevation and explore a little further afield. These options didn’t really work for us so we just took a long slow walk around the shops and restaurants of the harbor.
It is one of the most picturesque places we have ever seen in our lives with pristine Crystal clear waters and an incredible array of colours broken up only by the neutral towns of the locally sourced deep sea sponges on offer from multiple gift shops.
I don’t eat fish but i can imagine
SYMI as an old fishing harbor would be a great place for locally caught fish.
Instead we killed time sunbathing on benches looking over the majestic waters and lunching in a harbor-side restaurant.
Our photos show a fantastic day out and i am pleased we got to see it however as we didn’t time the boat trip well i would say there is not enough things to do on the island as you can walk around the marina in 30 mins.
I would not go back instead I  would personally choose to spend a few days marooned on the Lindos Island. Watch out for My Lindos review.
Have you been planning a trip to Symi from Rhodes. Or have you been already.
I would love to hear about your experiences.
