The Sea is calling

The family is well underway with the final countdown to our annual family cruise, I have three very excited people in the house who are definitely in holiday mode, I on the other hand if being honest haven’t given it a thought. Now you would think with being a cruise specialist for over two decades I would be organised, far from it.

We are due to embark on Independence of the Seas on Monday for 12 glorious nights, sailing to Barcelona, Ibiza, Cartagena, Vigo, Lisbon, Palma and Seville, I had to get the Itinerary to hand as I couldn’t tell you without consulting the schedule. As much as I am looking forward to spending quality time with the family, life and work are so busy I haven’t had the time to think about it and look forward to the break, come 4.30 on Saturday I am sure i can relax and start to look forward to our cruise and start the dreaded task of packing and organising the kids, at least I know where the passports are!

Barcelona is one of our favourite Cities and we try and get there for a break at least once a year but as we have travelled to America for the past two years we haven’t been, I have to say I am really looking forward to our visit. My youngest Finn is an avid footballer and loves Barcelona FC, he hasn’t been to Nou Camp before as he was to young to appreciate and remember the occasion. I have a surprise for him as I have booked an organised tour with the ship and are taking him to what he would call “Heaven” he’s 6 and is going to be in Awe once we arrive at the stadium, hoping we can bypass the team shop on the way out mind.

Family time is precious and memories are priceless so I am intending to enjoy every minute with them and cram as much fun and memory making as possible.
