DANCING ON THE WAVES

Most of us love to dance whether it be ‘Dancing in the Moonlight’ or ‘Dancing in the Street’  as many song titles show and depending on what cruise you go can also determine the kind of dancing available on board. Cunard  and P&O may offer more ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ rather than ‘Disco Dancing’ on Royal Caribbean but what kind of dancing will I be doing when I embark on the Royal Crown River Cruise this week.

As a 5 star luxury river boat you can feel the ambience already by looking at the pictures, this boat oozes elegance with all the traditional fixtures and fittings you would expect from the ‘Orient Express of River Cruising’ as she has been aptly referred as. With just 90 passengers and 30 crew she is one of the smallest river boats in European waters and I think that is what will make her so special. For me she has a very romantic feel to her and for a  glamorous small-ship , bags of character too.

I have been on many cruises and every one I have been on has ticked a box or two and as long as I have a little spot where I can have a little dance at the end of an evening I am happy. Don’t get me wrong even at my young age I can pull together a bit of Salsa as well as a splash of the Tango, its not all about disco, but will my passion of dancing to a little tune or two under the stars on board The Royal Crown come to fruition.  Well maybe it will because she has one of the most beautiful and glamourous top decks of any European river ship, made for relaxing, enjoying the scenery and hopefully some dancing under the stars.
