Celebrity still has the Edge for me Part 2

So from my last update, you will remember I still had to tell you all about the Magic Carpet, Bars and Restaurants and obviously I did my best to sample these for you.

First let’s start with the Magic Carpet well you can’t miss it as it is the Big, Bright Orange thing on the side of the ship –

With the Magic Carpet, I think the concept is really cool and maybe more cool than what it actually is in the flesh. A floating platform that can be transferred between decks to form either a Bar, Restaurant or to be used with the tenders. We only got to see it in use as a Champagne Bar which was cool and nice once in but I’m not sure I would of missed it had it not been there.

One thing I have since learned since my return is that some of the Sky Suites are placed just underneath the Magic Carpet so if you stay in one of them expect to be disturbed when the platform moves up and down.

So on to the rest now and the Edge has Bars and Restaurants a plenty with 29 restaurants, cafes, bars, and lounges to choose from, so there is something suitable for everyone. As you would probably expect the Edge has lots of venues to dine and the four main ones are all complimentary and still have full waiter service however they do have a nice more intimate feel. The main four are the Cosmopolitan (American), Cyprus (Mediterranean), Tuscan (Italian) and Normandie (French) influenced. We dined in the Tuscan and the Cyprus and were not disappointed the food as ever on Celebrity was fantastic.

On top of the four, you also have the complimentary Ocean-view Cafe, Spa Cafe, Eden Cafe & Juice Bar and Master Grill so without spending a penny more that is quite the choice. Then if you want something of a change or to treat yourself then there are a further Eight yes eight specialty dining options. Everything from Bistro’s to Steackhouses, The Eden Restaurant and one I would love to try the Rooftop Garden Grill and then even back on our Orange friend the Magic Carpet.

As ever if you book Aqua class you will have the Blu restaurant and the Suites and Villa’s will have access to Luminae at the Retreat ( If you ever get the chance to dine here it is a must! )
