We do love a good party here at Cruise.Co!

Of course we do work hard the majority of the time looking after all of our lovely clients! 2018 has been no exception, another busy year and goodness hasn’t it flown by! I really don’t know where this year has gone, even though I say that every year, and I cannot believe it is almost Christmas again. Sure sign I am getting older I suppose, each year goes by even faster!

As well as working hard, we also like to play hard too and we love to celebrate special occasions. Yesterday was a milestone birthday, the big 50, for one of the longest serving members of our Operations Team, Sarah Quilliam so what better excuse for celebration. The whole of our office in Redditch pitched in, bringing in goodies for the surprise tea party we threw for her. I made a cake, our colleague Abdul who works in our Accounts Department roped in his Mom and Wife who provided proper homemade Samosa’s and Pakora’s, and delicious they were too! We all royally stuffed our faces and drank Bucks Fizz and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves as did Sarah. She had piles of presents to open, testament to how popular she is with all of her colleagues, even an extreme weather calendar – who knew she was fanatical about extreme weather! A lovely celebration all round.

It isn’t long until our next ‘celebration’ either, we are off to Dublin in a couple of weeks on our annual company conference, sailing from Avonmouth across the Irish Sea on the CMV Marco Polo. This will be a first for me as I haven’t sailed with Cruise and Maritime before, and of course I will let you know what I think of her after the event. Even though it’s a conference, really the only occasion during the year when the majority of the company get together, there will be time to party and have fun, and a few sherbets no doubt, too! I haven’t been to Dublin before so am really looking forward to having a couple of days there to enjoy what the city has to offer and also to catch up with many of my homeworking colleagues too.

For now, I wish you happy cruising, but I will catch up with you soon with tales of conference and Dublin!
