2018 – The year of the cruise?

Where has 2017 gone, it seems like only yesterday we were bringing in the New Year?

With only a few sleeps until the big day, I just wanted to wish all you “cruisers” out there, a very Merry Christmas, and hope you all have a prosperous 2018.

None of us know what the future will bring us, but one thing is for certain, 2018 will surely be an exiting time in the world of cruise.

Royal Caribbean introduce Symphony of the Seas, MSC gives us both MSC Seaview and MSC Seaside, Thomson cruises add Marella Explorer to the TUI family, NCL present the Norwegian Bliss & Celebrity Cruises unveil the ground breaking Celebrity Edge.

There are planned refits for Fred Olsen Boudicca, Holland America have 7 including Zuiderdam, Rotterdam & Zaandam. Independence of the Seas (April), Silver Spirit (March), P&O Ventura (April), Crown Princess (March) and Norwegian Jewel is planned for October .

Next year will see the launch of Disney Cruise Line’s ‘Star Wars Day at Sea’, where families will be taken on a journey to a galaxy far, far away.

If you spend your weekends on the golf course honing your skills, then Amadeus River Cruises’ latest offering could be your dream holiday. The cruise line is launching a host of new golf-themed sailings, accompanied by PGA teaching golf pro Frank Adamowicz.

Azamara Club Cruises is on hand to help holidaymakers explore the best of Cuban culture, with four new sailings to the Caribbean island. Departing from Miami, the new itineraries feature two ports of call in Cienfuegos, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and Santiago de Cuba, home to the incredible salsa music the area is famed for.

Norwegian Cruise Line has seriously upped the stakes with its newest ship Norwegian Bliss, which will feature everything from an electric car race track – just like Norwegian Joy – to an open-air laser tag course.
