Marella Discovery Goes Stateside in 2021!
Hello Cruise Lovers!
Yes exciting news!
Marella Discovery – a ship I liked so much, I cruised on her twice! Will be offering 7 & 12 night cruises from the USA from April 2021.
As you may know if you are a regular reader of my blog, I first sailed on Discovery to the Caribbean in March 2016, and more recently, to South East Asia over Christmas & New Year 2018/19. She’s a great ship. Nice size, not too big, easy to navigate around. Great crew, food, choice of entertainment. In fact I really couldn’t fault her, which being a passionate Cruise Consultant, I’m never ‘off the job’! Which is why I am super excited that she will be sailing out of Port Canaveral, to the Caribbean, Bahamas and New York!

Montego Bay (Jamaica), Grand Cayman (Georgetown), New Orleans (2 Nights), Tampa (Overnight), Key West, Miami, Port Canaveral
*We honeymooned in Montego Bay back in ’77*. You get 2 nights in New Orleans to grab the opportunity to take in the sights and listen to some authentic Jazz! Key West, where Ernest Hemingway called home.. and of course Miami and a chance to visit the Iconic Miami South Beach! Fabulous!

Now this itinerary is No.1 on my list as we visit Gone With The Wind Country, as well as having an overnight in New York! Who doesn’t want the bragging rights of holidaying in the Bahamas?
Big Apple Adventure

Port Canaveral, New York (Overnight), Norfolk (Virginia), Bahamas (Freeport), Port Canaveral
After a night in the Big Apple, a stop off in Norfolk which houses the largest Naval Base in the world (Great for me as I do like a man in uniform!) As well as the Chrysler Museum of Art, and Virginia Zoo!

With Tampa overnight – I would definitely book a day at Busch Gardens!
