Cheers P&O! (But make it last! You’re on a Timer!)

Finally!  A drinks package option from P&O!   Talk about late to the party! Their competitors have been ahead of the game for some time!  Never mind.  At long last and bowing to passenger pressure, we now have a selection of drinks packages to offer besides the bottles of wine and coffee options.

So here’s the nitty gritty:

Launch dates for the following ships are:

Azura 26Mar2019 Britannia 07Apr19 Aurora 08Apr2019 Oceana 18Apr2019 Ventura 23Apr2019

The most popular option is the Ultimate Drinks package, @ £39.95 per person per day,   which includes a selection of beers, single measure spirits, cocktails & wines by the glass up to the value of £6.95. As well as unlimited draught soft drinks, mocktails and bottled water (500ml only), tea, coffee  & hot chocolate.   You also get 20% off  drinks costing more than £6.95, bottles of wine, large 1ltr bottles of water,  canned & bottled soft drinks, juices and smoothies.

Exclusions include:  Room Service, Mini Bar, Self Service & Vending machines.

If you’re a non-drinker then the Non-Alcohol package is for you, at just £19.95 per person per day.  You have the choice of unlimited draught soft drinks, selected juices, mocktails, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, bottled water –  500ml only!

If you’re a coffee connoisseur, you’ll enjoy Costa/Primo Coffee, Teapigs Tea & Hot Chocolate at just £10.95 per person per day.

The kiddies can enjoy unlimited draught soft drinks, selected juices, primo coffee/small hot chocolates with their own package at £7.95 per person per day.  Also for children under the age of 16yrs, who are travelling with and sharing a cabin with 2 adults who have purchased the Ultimate Drinks package , their drinks are free!

However….. There are conditions:

Available on sailings of 5 nights or more.

Both passengers sharing the cabin must purchase the same package .

Alcoholic drinks are limited to 15 beverages per 24 hours and you can only order one drink at a time with a minimum of 15mins between each order!  (This I find quite patronising  – to me, it smacks of P&O assuming we’re all going to order a trayful of drinks every 5 minutes!)

I suppose its a step in the right direction though and I am pleased passengers are now given a choice!  Cheers P&O!
