Don’t Know Where To Start On Your Bucket List?

Don’t know where to start on your Bucket List?

Well I think I have the ideal starting point for you. This is something iconic and doesn’t require an extreme fitness regime to complete – although the latter may be required at the end!

I am talking about a fabulous Transatlantic cruise on Cunard’s Queen Mary. It really is the only way to cross the Atlantic – Cunard first started these iconic sailings in 1840 and they are still the only regular cruise line to offer this. Yes, we all know flying will get you there in a few hours – but is there much fun to be had these days at airport security or sitting with your knees under your chin?

The Queen Mary has been purpose built to brave the Atlantic Ocean so there is no need to worry about sea sickness.

And what a way to spend 7 days – immerse yourself in the history and traditions of the Transatlantic crossing – you won’t be bored – dress up to the nines, if you want, make full use of the fantastic spa, learn to dance, improve your knowledge with the guest speakers on board, catch up on that novel you have always meant to read in the largest library at sea, enjoy and learn about fantastic wines – there really is so much to see and do.

So, should I cruise from East to West or West to East?

If you cruise from Southampton take advantage of 25 hour days! Sail past the Statue Of Liberty and arrive in New York fresh and ready to see the sights – add a few days on in New York before you fly home or why not take time to explore more of the USA – there are lots of options.

Sailing Eastbound from New York also has it’s advantages – no jet lag, watch a fantastic sunset as you depart from New York, shop till you drop for a few days before you cruise without having to worry about excess luggage!

So, if sky diving or climbing Mount Everest are on your Bucket List you may want to consider moving them down a peg or two and treat yourself to a Transatlantic cruise first.
