And Now For Something Completely Different!

I think it’s about time that we had some news that is definitely not Brexit or Government related, don’t you? I mean, really – who want’s an election in December when all most of us can think about is what presents we need to get and making sure the turkey is cooked!

So, I thought I would have a look at some of the news the cruise lines are coming out with and let me tell you this is far more interesting! Here is just a few items I have seen that may be of interest to you.

P & O Cruises – once again they will continue with their Food Hero cruises in 2020 – Marco Pierre White, Olly Smith and Eric Lanlard will feature on various cruises next year, you will be able to have Q & A sessions, a visit to a Bergen brewery, cookery demonstrations  and best of all – taste wonderful hand crafted pastries. Mmmmmm

Royal Caribbean – How exciting! – they have just released details of their newest ship – Odyssey Of The Seas. She will launch in November 2020 and sail around the Caribbean. Royal Caribbean are so good with all the facilities on board – there will be all the usual things available – The Flow Rider, Chop’s Grille etc but wait for it – new to this ship will be a 2 tier pool deck and a virtual reality playground ( I know – the mind boggles! )

Cunard – When was the QM2 last refurbished? About 3 years ago? Well, they have announced that she will be going into dry dock in November 2020 for a 3 week re fit – what will they do? New spa? New carpets? Watch this space and when more details are released I will let you know.

So, just 3 snippets of news but every day cruise lines are announcing something or other – new ships, new entertainment, new destinations – a welcome distraction from the general news!
