Nearly time for my 1st of 3…

Yes that’s right, I have 3 “cruises” between now and Christmas and it is nearly time for the 1st one…

I use the term Cruises in inverted commas as one of them is purely an overnight on board in Southampton..

First up is the Norwegian Encore – a brand new ship which I am flying over to Bremen to join from the shipyard and to sail back on to Southampton.  I have cruised previously with NCL Cruise Lines on the Norwegian Star (a much smaller ship) for my own holiday so I am familiar with their freestyle cruising ethos.  I also attended the preview agent event for the NCL Epic at Southampton but that was several years ago and they have come on leaps and bounds with the facilities that they put on to ships.

The NCL Encore has an amazing water slide on the top deck – not sure if I will be brave enough for that but will give it a try, also an outdoor race track – the largest at sea – which extends 13 feet over the side of the ship on the top deck and a full virtual reality gaming experience at the Galaxy Pavilion.

Encore will be heading over to Miami to cruise the Caribbean during it’s inaugural season before going to New York where she will sail a variety of 5 – 7 days Bermuda itineraries from April 2020.

For entertainment there will be the award winning musical Kinky Boots – I hope we get to see that – and also the Choir of Man.

Continuing the music theme, The Godmother of the ship is International superstar and Grammy award winning artist Kelly Clarkson.
