    Please help

Hello and thank you for reading my message. I would really appreciate if anyone could tell me of any websites people may know of which allows you to meet travel buddies. I am looking for someone to share a trip of a life time to America. I am going to travel from Southhampton to New York (return) on the QM2. I will also train it around several cities and states in America. I will be traveling for around 6 weeks. I am to do this in two years time.
    Thank you for your help.

    HI Nick,

There is a dedicated part of this Forum that you can post on, which may help, this is the link:

Hi Nick, yes I have and loved every moment! It was on QE2 10 years ago this December. I am hoping there might be a 'bargain' this year as I would love to do it again, but on QM2. Would also love to travel across America, by train. One Day!

              Hi again Nick,

More than happy to chat on here if I can help, or point you in the direction of Information. I wish I could be 35 again! Sadly, that was 27 years ago! We also celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary this year, now I do feel old!

Do be careful who you choose to travel with, or your dream could become a nightmare, not trying to put you off, but do be careful.

              Best Wishes.

I agree with the becarefull who you travel with. The thing is I am can't fly and a bit nervouse about spending a week on the Atlantic by myself haha. So I thought it would be nice to find someone like me. Even its just traveling on the cruise in both directions and we go seperate ways when we reach the states. I would appreciate any advice or help you could give me.
Thank you for responding to my messages.

No problem Nick, I wish you well. To be honest if you like chatting to people ( which I think you do) you will find so many friendly people on the Ship. On our cruise on QE2 we got chatting to a lady whose partner was very poorly, so she spent much of her time with us.

If you ask to sit at a table for eight for Dinner, there is bound to be someone you could relate to, the days are so full of activities on Cunard especially transatlantic, you will be spoilt for choice!

Do read the reviews of QM2 on here, this is the link:

Beware of the whingers, many Brits do like a good moan!

I hope Malcolm Oliver will happen along as he wrote an excellent review on QM2, if he doesn't I will try and find it.

                    Hi Nick

I would imagine you will be hard pressed trying to find a cabin mate so far in advance. Most people can't commit a few weeks in advance let alone two years.

QM2 will have loads of single passengers and daily solo get togethers, so you will have no problems finding buddies once onboard. They also have lots of other activities that you could join in and meet people- Bridge, dancing lessons and quizzes etc. Lots turn up on their own and often want a partner.
