That's great news. Might make other insurers think again about excluding everything under the sun.

Useful, but does not mention pre existing conditions. Probably would not offer insurance to me.

          Hi all
Just did a dummy application.......AXA said...

“Unfortunately we are unable to offer cover for your Pre-existing Medical Condition(s)“

I think I will have to stick with StaySure.

I just did a dummy quote that came out VERY reasonable. Thanks for posting. May possibly use them in future.

Many thanks but, having just had a very fair payout from Saga Travel Insurance on our first ever insurance claim we will happily stay with them - and recommend them

Great post TD. I’ll have a look and see how it compares with RBS

Thanks TD. Just got a quote and think it’s very reasonable.

Thanks for this information. I was wondering if we would ever be able to cruise again, given that existing insurance policies will not cover Covid19.

It is great news that this has come out and it will also stimulate the other insurance companies to do something if they see their products not being bought if they do not cover Covid19. There would be no chance that we would travel again without this cover. Too risky.

Is it much different from AXA’s own travel policies?

                          We like Staysure.

They are covering Coronvirus now, and are offering 15 months for the price of 12 on annual policies.

If you're considering Staysure it is worth looking at Top Cashback. That site often has a discount on Staysure policies (25% off annual policies, I think, at time of writing), which may work out cheaper than going to Staysure direct.
