For me, it’s always the song that gets me so that reason, I was never into albums. I have 4 main playlists - Welsh, English, Country and Classical. My favourite tracks include:

1. Stand by your Man - Tammy Wynette
2. Baby, I Love You - Ramones
3. That’s Life - Frank Sinatra
4. Take it to the Limit - Eagles
5. It’s four in the morning - Faron Young
6. All About You - McFly
7. The Onion Song - Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell
8. The Gadfly - Shostakovich
9. Anything by Chopin
10. Maybe This Time - Liza Minnelli

My family were always a fan of the Spinners folk group. On long journeys in the car, we played their tapes and the kids would sing along with us.

My son is still a big fan, as am I.

They regularly played gigs upstairs in a local pub.

This is a wonderful thread and it's great to read all the posts.I

I listen to albums quite alot, especially in my car and I guess I keep to the same dozen or so but I also play them via Alexa in the house . Early last year on Instagram Guy Berryman (Coldplay bassist) had a list of twelve albums that we would all listen to at the same time on a Sunday evening . The first one was Beatles Abbey Road which is in my top three . Anyway, we listened to Dusty Springfield (I think it was her US LP) Marvin Gaye, Carole King (love her), Fleetwood Mac, Her's, Stevie Wonder and a few others that I had never listened to before and it was great to share and read comments from all over the globe.

So I also listen to Coldplay's Parachutes quite frequently which also contains my favourite song Yellow. I've got all of their albums but the first one is as brilliant as their latest.

I'm finding it hard to choose number three but I think I'll go for Day & Age by the Killers. Tomorrow I'll change my mind 😉

There is a programme on the well loved BBC1 tonight at 19:15 for 2 hours called 'One World:Together at Home'

Artist from all over performing from their living rooms,,including the Stones,Elton John,McCartney and the Killers among others.

It was aired in the USA last night and raised $128m for Covid-19 charities

I watched last night on YouTube for a few hours and have caught up in some today. Looking forward to watching on BBC1 in a few minutes too. The Stones were really good 👍 Mick Jaggers voice is still as good as it was 50years ago

I was really into the Irish bands in my youth,,,,i well remember The Clancy Brothers with Tommy Makem.
Every Liverpool pub had a Clancy Brothers.

Every Liverpool pub had a Clancy Brothers.

This is my karaoke go to song by the Clancy's and Tommy Makem.

I wasn’t into collecting rock albums as much as I was into listening to The Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem back in the day. My brothers collected all the Beatles albums which I listened to of course. My big thing was musical theatre and I probably wore out my mum’s LPs of West Side Story and My Fair Lady. These days we listen to Bela Fleck and the Flecktones. He is an amazing banjo artist who can play anything from Beethoven to the Beverley Hillbillies and beyond.
