Well just to wind up the critics there’s now a NERDLE game out there which is arithmetic based.

I tried it yesterday and it took a while but got there eventually.

Touch the circled question mark for the instructions and read them carefully, as the order in which the ‘operators’ are used is important.

    Good luck!

      Golly, I like this one.
Got it in three. Beginners luck.

Thanks for the link. Hope NYT doesn't buy this one!

      Tip
Have the instructions open in a separate tab so you can refer to them.

Thanks for the tip Mrs M. I was on the point of giving up on this one but again, got here....eventually!

          Edit
And I deleted part of it in case it shows the answers.

I’ve just started with wordless a few days ago - with all the hype I just couldn’t ignore it.

Had a go a needle too - like it!
            Cruising my way through life!

              Good to hear HA. 👍

For those who find doing Nerdle gives them the Needle, there is also a mini Nerdle with just six squares across. It’s on the Options menu under the ‘wheely’ icon top right of the screen.

              Its much easier!

As I have no desire to upset GCHQ or in fact any CDHQ'ers, I shall refrain from commenting on Senior Nerdle other than to say, ''Good Game, Good Game'!

Now, what can I 'Invent' and sell for a couple of $$squillions.

                  Huh
My track record of 'got it in three' was ruined yesterday as I was floored by a symbol, and not having the brains to think it out, didn't get the puzzle at all. On Wordle, I can give feedback that 'Phew' appears when the word is discovered on the last go!

Found today’s wordle quite hard but got it in 5. Now have a streak of 19 since starting but have to admit my husband’s input is helpful!

I also got today’s Wordle in 5. Not quite up to your standard, I have a run of 14. I was doing really well, but slipped up midway through January.

Hi, for those who are still Wordling and perhaps would like a bigger challenge, here’s a variation for you....and not from the New York Times.

                        www.quordle.com

This game gives you four grids and four 5 letter words to complete at the same time. The grids are linked so your first word will show up in all four and any letters that are correct will show up as in Wordle.

In the menu just press the ‘?’ for instructions. The good news is that you get nine lives.

My effort yesterday was a bit better than Sundays, where I didn’t guess all four words in time!

                        Good luck.

I've found my niche and amazingly, it's to do with numbers. Classic Nerdle game = average three attempts. That and the daily Samurai will suffice.

Wow AAS, that gave me a headache!! I did it but it took the 9 tries to get them all . I'm really enjoying Wordle but cannot do Nerdle. Horses for courses I guess.

Good for you giving it a go Barb. You did better than my first attempt, but it should get easier with a little practice.

Good to hear Mrs M is going great guns at Nerdle, my forte is doing the Mini one! 😀

Three is my best score so far - would hate to have not got it at all!
