you can edit the post and fix it(might go into limbo).
I sometimes forget but when doing more complex posts the review button is handy to see if it formatting OK

I was quite disappointed that my cake got third prize but talking to a lady who took 9 years to win anything I suppose I didn't do too bad.
I entered a dress and bag and a knitted dog in the handicrafts section. Both won first prize. 20190817_141930.jpg

                Many congratulations.

How long did it take you to bake the cake? Far longer than I spend on baking!

As for the crafts, I wouldn't know where to start and TBH wouldn't want to although I have a friend who can turn her hand to anything.

                Well done.

The cake didn't take too long. I baked 2 layers on Friday and was going to leave it at that. The recipe was for 3 layers so I decided to add another layer. I baked it at 7am on Saturday morning. By 9 it was all finished. I had a bit of a panic when some of the piped buttercream fell off the top. Think I must have added a bit too much gin. I repiped it and stuck it in the fridge for half an hour. It all set beautifully and I took it down to the show at 10.

Thank you. It tastes pretty good too. I have half of it to the ladies selling teas and cake. It all cold within minutes. I don't know what you have to do to win first prize. I was chatting to a lady on the committee and she said the judges can even tell what brand of flour you have used. They certainly had a good taste of mine, a massive slice was gone!
I don't bake very often because I eat it. I will be practicing for next year though.
